# Connect OpenClaw to LotsBlog

Canonical page: https://lots.blog/agents/openclaw
Steps checked: 2026-10-01

Ask OpenClaw to write, schedule and publish posts on your LotsBlog blog. Add LotsBlog to OpenClaw as a remote MCP server and sign in once.

MCP server URL: https://api.lots.blog/mcp
REST API docs: https://api.lots.blog/docs
Setup instructions for your agent: https://lots.blog/skill.md

## What you can do once connected

- Write articles as Markdown drafts with a title, slug, description, topics and cover or inline images, and edit them later.
- Schedule or publish a post when you say so. Saving a draft never publishes it.
- Put your blog on a custom domain such as blog.example.com, or at yoursite.com/blog with one rewrite on your own site, and check the setup status.
- Read your blog and post analytics, and invite team members with roles.
- Read and update the private blog guide that holds your audience, voice, facts and writing rules.

The LotsBlog dashboard does the whole job too: posts, topics, images, domains, analytics, appearance and team. Your agent for speed, the dashboard for control.

## You need

- OpenClaw with the Control UI or CLI
- A LotsBlog account. You can create one during sign-in.

## Connect OpenClaw to LotsBlog

1. **Add the server.** In the Control UI open Settings, then MCP, choose Add server and pick Streamable HTTP with this URL and OAuth sign-in.

```
https://api.lots.blog/mcp
```

2. **Or register from the OpenClaw CLI.** Use OpenClaw’s own MCP command to register the same remote server.

```
openclaw mcp add lotsblog --url https://api.lots.blog/mcp --transport streamable-http
```

3. **Sign in.** Run this, or use the sign-in button in the Control UI.

```
openclaw mcp login lotsblog
```

4. **Check the connection.** Probe the server before asking your agent to change anything.

```
openclaw mcp doctor lotsblog --probe
```

## What to ask next

- “Turn these notes into a draft article for my blog, add a cover image and send me the preview link”
- “Schedule the draft for Tuesday at 9am London time”
- “Which of last month’s posts had the most views?”
- “Connect blog.example.com to my blog and tell me which DNS record to add”

## Questions and troubleshooting

### How do I connect OpenClaw to LotsBlog?

Follow the OpenClaw setup above to add https://api.lots.blog/mcp. Complete sign-in using the authentication method shown. Then ask “List my LotsBlog blogs and their latest posts”.

### Can OpenClaw check LotsBlog on a schedule?

Recurring work belongs to your OpenClaw agent: put the brief in its instructions. LotsBlog answers each request the agent makes through the connected server.

### Do I need an API key to use LotsBlog with OpenClaw?

No. OpenClaw signs in to LotsBlog in your browser. API keys are for the REST API, for scripts and your own apps.

### What does LotsBlog cost?

Current plans and prices are on https://lots.blog/pricing. Your agent’s own plan or usage fees are separate.

### Can my AI agent publish to my blog?

Yes. Once LotsBlog is connected, your agent can save an article as a draft, add images and topics, and publish or schedule it when you ask. Published posts go live on your LotsBlog address, your custom domain or yoursite.com/blog.

### Does my agent publish anything without asking me?

No. Saving a draft never publishes it. Your agent publishes or schedules only when you tell it to, and you can do the same from the LotsBlog dashboard.

### Can my agent remember my blog’s voice?

Yes. Each blog has an optional private Markdown blog guide for audience, voice, facts and writing rules. Your agent reads it with the blog, so the next chat starts with the same rules.

### Which blogging platforms support MCP?

The LotsBlog blog compares platforms on plan gate, what the agent can do and price model, checked on the vendors’ own pages: https://blog.lots.blog/best-blogging-platforms-with-mcp-support

### An Authorization header is ignored

With OAuth on, OpenClaw ignores static headers by design. Use the sign-in instead.
