What Paperclip can do with LotsBlog

Once connected, Paperclip can:

  • Write articles as Markdown drafts with a title, slug, description, topics and cover or inline images, and edit them later.
  • Schedule or publish a post when you say so. Saving a draft never publishes it.
  • Put your blog on a custom domain such as blog.example.com, or at yoursite.com/blog with one rewrite on your own site, and check the setup status.
  • Read your blog and post analytics, and invite team members with roles.
  • Read and update the private blog guide that holds your audience, voice, facts and writing rules.

The LotsBlog dashboard does the whole job too: posts, topics, images, domains, analytics, appearance and team. Your agent for speed, the dashboard for control.

You need

  • Paperclip with the managed MCP gateway and Tools & Access enabled
  • Company administrator access to tools and agent profiles
  • A LotsBlog API key
  • A LotsBlog account. You can create one during sign-in.

Connect Paperclip to LotsBlog

  1. Create the LotsBlog connection

In your company’s Tools & Access, create a LotsBlog application and a remote HTTP connection. Use the hosted MCP URL below.

    https://api.lots.blog/mcp
  2. Store the key as a secret

Create a key at https://www.lotstech.com/api and save it as a Paperclip company secret. Attach a credential reference to the connection: header Authorization, prefix Bearer followed by a space. Keep the key out of plain connection configuration.

  3. Check the connection and load its tools

Run the connection health check and refresh its tool catalog. Enable the connection, review the discovered tools and approve the actions you want your agent to perform.

  4. Assign access to your agent

Create a tool profile containing the LotsBlog tools you need and bind it to the responsible agent. Ask that agent “List my LotsBlog blogs and their latest posts” before giving it real work.

What to ask next

  • “Turn these notes into a draft article for my blog, add a cover image and send me the preview link”
  • “Schedule the draft for Tuesday at 9am London time”
  • “Which of last month’s posts had the most views?”
  • “Connect blog.example.com to my blog and tell me which DNS record to add”

If something goes wrong

My agent cannot see LotsBlog tools
Check the connection is enabled, its tool catalog is refreshed, the required tools are allowed in a profile and that profile is bound to your agent.

Paperclip and LotsBlog: questions

How do I connect Paperclip to LotsBlog?

Follow the Paperclip setup above to add https://api.lots.blog/mcp. Configure your LotsBlog API key using the credential settings shown. Then ask “List my LotsBlog blogs and their latest posts”.

Does adding Paperclip’s MCP server also add LotsBlog?

No. The two servers expose different tools. LotsBlog must be connected to the agent runtime or called through its REST API.

Do I need an API key to use LotsBlog with Paperclip?

Yes. Create one at https://www.lotstech.com/api and keep it out of chats, logs and committed files. Where Paperclip offers sign-in, use that instead.

What does LotsBlog cost?

Current plans and prices are on https://lots.blog/pricing. Your agent’s own plan or usage fees are separate.

Can my AI agent publish to my blog?

Yes. Once LotsBlog is connected, your agent can save an article as a draft, add images and topics, and publish or schedule it when you ask. Published posts go live on your LotsBlog address, your custom domain or yoursite.com/blog.

Does my agent publish anything without asking me?

No. Saving a draft never publishes it. Your agent publishes or schedules only when you tell it to, and you can do the same from the LotsBlog dashboard.

Can my agent remember my blog’s voice?

Yes. Each blog has an optional private Markdown blog guide for audience, voice, facts and writing rules. Your agent reads it with the blog, so the next chat starts with the same rules.

Which blogging platforms support MCP?

The LotsBlog blog compares platforms on plan gate, what the agent can do and price model, checked on the vendors’ own pages: https://blog.lots.blog/best-blogging-platforms-with-mcp-support

My agent cannot see LotsBlog tools

Check the connection is enabled, its tool catalog is refreshed, the required tools are allowed in a profile and that profile is bound to your agent.
