Host your blog on a custom domain
LotsBlog custom domains put your blog on an address like blog.example.com, from the AI agent you already use and in the dashboard. Your agent connects the domain and tells you the one CNAME record to add at your DNS provider. LotsBlog verifies it, issues the HTTPS certificate and makes your domain the blog's canonical address.

How it works from your agent
Ask your agent
Connect blog.example.com to my LotsBlog blog and tell me exactly which DNS record to add.- 1
Your agent connects the domain
It calls connect_domain with your hostname and returns the DNS record to add: a DNS-only CNAME, plus optional TXT records as a fallback if verification stays pending.
- 2
You add the record
Add the CNAME at your DNS provider. You keep control of your DNS; LotsBlog never needs your registrar login.
- 3
Your agent checks it
Ask it to check the domain. check_domain reports the domain and certificate status, and says when both are active.

How it works in the dashboard
- Open your blog's Settings, then Custom Domain.
- Enter your domain and copy the DNS records shown.
- Add them at your DNS provider. The status changes to active once the domain and its SSL certificate are verified.
Your agent for speed, the dashboard for control. Open the dashboard.
The facts
- One DNS-only CNAME record connects a domain such as blog.example.com.
- HTTPS certificates are issued and renewed for you.
- Once verified, canonical URLs, the sitemap and RSS use your domain, and the old lots.blog address redirects there with a 301.
- Publishing, updating and unpublishing notify IndexNow search engines such as Bing automatically.
- Custom domains are included with every funded blog, with no add-on fee.
- Plans cover 3, 10 or 30 blogs for $24, $69 or $159 a month, or pay $9 per blog per month from credits. Posts, page views and authors are unlimited.
Questions
- Can I use my main domain instead of a subdomain?
- To keep your main site where it is and serve the blog at example.com/blog, use subdirectory hosting: one rewrite rule on your own site.
- What happens to my old lots.blog address?
- Once your domain is verified, the lots.blog address redirects to it with a 301, so links you shared keep working and search engines see one address.
- Who controls the DNS?
- You do. Your agent or the dashboard tells you which record to add; you add it at your DNS provider.
